Strachan’s Coffee Shop. Banff

Our wonderful coffee shop is situated on the first floor of our pharmacy. We have a selection of delicious freshly made scones and soups prepared every day.

A lovely menu including paninis, wraps, baked potatoes, cheeseburgers, salads, cooked breakfasts and daily specials and much more. Also including children's meals.

With our Matthew Algie brand of coffees including speciality coffees, why not accompany them with our homemade bakes and sponges.

Strachan Pharmacy

Strachan Pharmacy is an independently run business. John Strachan qualified as a pharmacist in 1993 with a BSC (Honours) and took a further degree in Clinical Pharmacy providing an MSc (Clinical Pharmacy) in 2003

The Turriff Pharmacy branch was purchased in 2003 and has had two refits.

The Banff branch was purchased in 2012 . A very unique pharmacy comprising two floors. The first floor a coffee shop and a beautiful perfumery department, which is the largest independent perfumery in the North East of Scotland. The whole shop has had an extensive refit and extension, all finished in 2020.

We sponsor local football teams Deveronvale FC and Turriff United FC as well as giving sponsorship to Turriff Thistle FC and Deveronvale Youth FC

We prioritise our customers and aim to give an excellent service in both our pharmacies from our 40 plus staff members whom we value deeply."

Our Banff branch is home to the largest independent perfumery in the North East of Scotland, with an extensive range of fragrances, four popular make-up stands, gifts, candles and Bessie London handbags.

Browse much-loved classics and the latest fragrance launches, and try them out using our in-store testers. Our friendly team will be happy to help you find something you'll love.

Who can get free prescriptions?

In England, you may be entitled if you’re under 16, aged 16–18 in full-time education, over 60, pregnant, have certain medical conditions, or receive specific benefits. We can help you check if you’re eligible. Prescriptions are free in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

How much do NHS prescriptions cost?

A prescription in England will cost £9.90 for each medicine or appliance dispensed. Prescriptions are free in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Can you deliver my medicines?

Yes, we offer a free local delivery service, please contact us for details.

Do I need to make an appointment to see the pharmacist?

No appointment needed - just pop in and we’ll be happy to help. Some services (like flu jabs or travel vaccines) might need booking, but for most things you can walk straight in.
